StoryFutures are seeking Mobile AR Producer and Festival Producer.

Future Screens NI’s AHRC cluster partner StoryFutures Academy, Royal Holloway, University of London are recruiting for two posts: a Mobile AR Producer and Festival Producer.

The Mobile AR Producer will deliver an immersive storytelling experience for Festival 2022 that will span the country, bringing together diverse new talent and some of the UK’s leading media names including BFI, BBC, Nexus Studios, ISO Design, Produce UK, Uplands TV, The Reading Agency as well as Niantic, the makers of Pokémon Go.

The role will have a high level of responsibility for delivering different formats of immersive storytelling experiences. A strong understanding of interactive media, excellent communication skills, and great storytelling are a must. You will need to juggle multiple demands and stakeholders, be familiar with compliance and risk assessments, apply and develop a high level of editorial standards in the ethics of place-based and historical storytelling.

Festival 2022 Producer

StoryFutures are seeking a Producer to join a team that will create a magical experience that brings together film, broadcast and augmented reality, public archives, digital access, and immersive storytelling. The post will have a high level of autonomy and responsibility for delivering different formats of immersive storytelling experiences. The post includes working with new creatives and diverse communities and will involve training, mentoring of this cohort.

StoryFutures Academy hold Open Call for Virtual Production Lab Producers.

The storytelling-led, immersive technology training programme StoryFutures Academy has an Open Call for Virtual Production Lab Producers. The VP Skills Lab: Producers starts on 24th November 2021 and is a vocation-specific lab tailored to meet sector-specific needs. This lab will be in a small group of 12 and is intended to provide hands-on learning with an LED Wall, granting participants the ability to expand creative thinking in effective and efficient ways. With support from StoryFutures Academy Professor Peter Richardson (VP Lead) and Johnny Johnson (Lead Technician), participants will also have the opportunity to learn about Final Pixel in-camera technology, through the case study and demonstrations of Paul Franklin’s recently completed short film ‘Fireworks’, made by Wilder Films, and shot using a VP volume.
